Potty Time!

Mom picked up Lora Kate from daycare yesterday and took her to her house for a little while bec/ I had lots I needed to get done. When I went to pick her up she was eating dinner. Mom had gone into the attic and gotten her training potty from about 1956-1957 out. It's wooden and it has this black pan that you slide underneath it and slide out to empty. Let's just say it's a major antique!!! Anyways, we got it out of the attic and proceeded to show Lora Kate how to pull her pants down, take off her diaper and sit down on the potty. We talked her through it and she loved it. She got up off the potty and ran around butt-naked for a few minutes. Then she goes back and sits down on the potty and YAY!!!...she tinkles!!!! Oh I must be a Mom to have gotten so excited but she got up from the potty and Andrea, Mom, Dad, Jason and I all started clapping and telling her what a big girl she was. She was THRILLED. She was clapping and running around with her cute little bare butt. She went back to the potty and tinkled a little more and then she did the same thing again. We wiped her and showed her the 'big girl panties.' Well within 10 minutes she had pooped in the big girl panties. It was so funny!!! We took her big girl panties off and put the poop in the little potty and she goes, "eeeewwwww" and ran away from it. Just had to share this funny story. So this weekend we are off to buy a 'modern potty' and some more big girl panties. This should be interesting!
