Love, Love, Love. . .

Friday afternoon around 2 Jason and I took off and ventured to St. Simon's for a weekend. My cousin, Rita, kept Lora Kate (THANK YOU Rita)!!! We had a death in the family on Tuesday, and my grandmother took a pretty bad fall on Monday, so Mom and Dad were really busy and very tired. It's about a 5 hour drive and it just flew by. Jason makes me laugh all the time so we were in constant laughter on the way down. We got in town around 7, unloaded the car and went to dinner at Mullet Bay. We then proceeded down to Brogan's where a friend of mine, Amanda, met up with us. Another friend, Stephanie, who is in nursing school was in town and she came to see us too. It was SO great to see them!! We eventually left Brogan's and headed home, only to get lost. Anyone that knows how I am with my sense of direction will totally understand this and NOT be surprised. So we drove around for about 30 minutes before we stopped and asked and looked like 2 idiots. Oh well - we made it home. We were up til 5 am talking. What a great night! We woke up Saturday at 1 - yes 1!!! and headed to meet everyone on the beach. How exuberating and refreshing to be able to sleep til 1 pm. I mean seriously I have not been able to sleep in past 7:30 am in like months. Lora Kate rises with the sun happy as can be. And while I do enjoy her happiness in the early mornings, I was in desperate need of a good Saturday morning sleep in! The weather was AMAZING!!! Windy, sunny, breezy and just beautiful. Could not have been better. We headed back to the house around 6 and we showered and met everyone out at Gnat's Landing for a yummy dinner and drinks. I had shrimpNgrits and it was OH so amazing. Yummy Yummy Yummy!!! From there we headed to Ziggy's where we hung out and danced all night. Sunday we woke up and cleaned up and headed out around 2. Got back last night and we were both pretty tired but what an AMAZING weekend.

Okay so now that you know all about our great weekend what's the point? The point is that I'm in love. I'm so so so in love. I have finally met the man that I have waited on all of my life. I have never wanted to 'settle'. I've been in some pretty bad relationships even when I knew deep down they weren't right. I've been engaged but knew the minute it happened it wasn't right and I could not go through with it. I broke it off and waited thinking I'd change my mind or come to some revelation - I never did. I am so so so thankful I've waited because Jason is absolutely the most amazing, caring and loving person I have ever met. He doesn't even read this blog (I don't think) but I had to share with all of you that do read this, this awesome new beginning in my life. We had some very serious conversations over the weekend that leave me VERY excited about the future and what lies ahead. I feel like I've waited so long for this and I am so glad now that I've waited and didn't rush into marrying someone else just bec/ that was 'the next step' or bec/ it was what I was 'supposed' to do as I had been told. I followed my heart and it's lead me into the happiest place of loving bliss I've ever seen or known. Thanks to all of you who have supported me and loved me in my journey(s). This and Lora Kathryn may be the best journey's thus far of my life...
