I hope those reading this blog post had a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend. I had a really great one. I really just feel so abundantly blessed at this point in my life and I'm so grateful!
Friday night I went out with some friends that I haven't seen in a while and that was fun. On Saturday Jason, LK and I came to Athens to Target. We bought Lora Kate the Fisher Price "I Can Potty." Of course I can never go into Target and buy just one thing. That's why I never go. I ended up buying a ton of stuff and basically all of it was for Lora Kate. I bought a pack of gum and an air filter for myself. Yet I enjoy buying for Lora Kate more than I do for me!!
We left there and went and had lunch on the patio at Loco's. It was so good. We came home and chilled and played outside. Lora Kate took a tinkle AND a poop in her new big girl potty. She got up, turned around and was scared of her poop. She really likes the potty and we're just practicing going 'potty' at various times. The thought of being able to rid my grocery list of 'diapers' is very exciting. Definitely a "You Must Be a Mom" moment...
Saturday night we went to Mom and Dad's. Andrea and John were home so we all cooked dinner for Mom and enjoyed a family evening. It was a lot of fun and Andrea's boyfriend, John Byrd, is the funniest guy I've ever met. He makes me laugh ALL the time. It was great!!
Sunday morning Jason, LK and I came to Athens to eat breakfast with Jason's family at Cracker Barrel. We then headed to the farm for our family Mother's Day with everyone. It was beautiful and such a nice day. We went fishing and played outside. My allergies acted up pretty bad but I hung in there. Lora Kate was in bed by 6:30 pm and slept til 7:00 am this morning. She was pooped but we had a great weekend! Jason gave me a gift certificate to Roxy Salon to get my a hair cut or massage (I'll prob choose the hair cut). I was very surprised bec/ I really wasn't expecting him to get me anything. It really warmed my heart to know that he thought I was special enough to receive something from him on Mother's Day. I haven't been so happy in a long time!
