It's Friday

Okay yeah I know it's not Friday but I feel like it is. We're slow here and they want to flex me out tomorrow. I really need to work though so I'm not sure what I'll do. As you can tell I have some time on my hands so what better to do than Blog away!! I have some random stuff going on so I figured I'd enlighten my readers and share...

Going to get my hair cut today with my gift certificate Jason gave me for Mother's Day. Can't wait!! So excited about a hair cut bec/ it's growing in all directions and my side bangs are diving into my eyes and face.

Past few weeks there has been this really wierd noise in my house. I have no idea what it is and Jason can't figure it out either. I only hear it when I'm in my bedroom. It sounds like a garage opening and closing but it occurs every 5-10 minutes or so. It's random as well. Then again I think it sounds like someone is in my attic sliding something across the floor. Jason investigated last night and still we have no answers. Therefore, my conclusion is this....I have a ghost. Yes I believe in ghosts...seen a few and if you don't believe you will if you ever see one (i.e. Jason does not believe...yet). One reason I think it's a ghost is because the man who owned my house before me died there. He died in my bedroom. Lovely... I know. He was a different character but he was a nice man from what I've been told. Didn't have a familiy...only a mother who is ill and bed bound that lives across the street from me. When we started the remodel job in the bedroom where he lived and died, was a Dukes of Hazard Jessica Simpson (in the daisy dukes) poster. I even have a picture bec/ I thought it was so hilarious. HAHA!!!!! Classic! (He was 55 y/o)

So now that I've provided you with your laugh for the day...I think he lives in my attic and he's my good ghost. As long as I'm okay that he's there and he's okay we're in the house and we don't have any problems I won't be calling Ghostbuster's anytime soon.

Weekend plans are non-stop. I've set up a friend of mine on a date with another friend of mine. Friends at hand will go unnamed until we discover whether this is or is not a match. So we are all 4 going to dinner tomorrow night. Saturday there's a huge crew going to Lake Sinclair. It'll be Lora Kate's 2nd Memorial Day at the lake with all the kids and families. I'm just hoping the weather is pretty!! Sunday Jason, LK and I are going to drive up to Helen. Jason's parents have a beautiful mountain home there and we're going to go up and swim and cook out. We may stay the night and we may come back. That's still up in the air. It'll depend on how LK does. There will be several other friends and family there so I'm excited!

The terrible two's are here in full force this week. I mean FULL FORCE. Lora Kate has been very difficult to please. She hits, she bites and she's just somewhat mean at times. Then next thing you know she's showering you with kisses. Last night Mom and Dad kept her for an hour while Jason and I had dinner with his parents. I got to Mom's to pick her up and Mom was like BE GLAD YOU DIDN'T TAKE HER!!! She's ill as a hornet!!! And she was. She calls my Daddy "Andy" and started this on her own. She ADORES him. Even he couldn't calm her down. She was pitching these fits where she'd lay face down on the ground (even outside in the dirt) and scream and kick and slam her hands down. I mean I couldn't help but laugh bec/ it was so uncalled for. None of us knew what to do and there was nothing that we could do to possibly get her to calm down. Eventually she chilled and we went home. She was in bed 30 minutes later and out like a light for the night.

After I put her down I got pictures out from Last Memorial Day and was showing them to Jason. I hadn't looked at them in a while and I just can't get over how little she was this time last year. Rather, I can't get over how much she has grown and how much she has changed. It actually made me a little sad. I miss her being so little and so simple to please. Don't get me wrong...I love all this interaction and how she is really soaking up so much information. I love watching her and seeing her little brain in full action putting two and two together and making connections. I just miss the 'little baby' stage. You don't realize how fast it REALLY DOES go by until your a parent!

I got a new camera!!!! YAY!!!! I've been wanting this camera FOREVER so I finally got it. It's a Nikon D40. It doesnt have the dang delay and I've been snapping pictures left and right. I don't get all the features but I've been in talks with a friend who takes these GREAT pictures with her D90 (THANKS Carrie D)!! Her pics are so amazing so she has inspired me! I'm looking into taking a photography class in order to learn about all the features of my Nikon D40. I can't wait to post pics and hopefully will have lots to post after our busy weekend!!

One of my dear girlfriends, Lauren McGowan, was due yesterday. So far she's still pregnant and miserable and hoping to bring their 2nd child, first son, into the world this weekend! Love you girl and can't wait to see Mr. Handsome!
WHOO HOO!!! It's the f'n WEEKEND!!!! A 3-day weekend at that! Be good and enjoy!
