Spring Is Here!

I love love love this weather. So does Lora Kate. Her allergies are under control and thus far no eczema break outs (knocking on wood typing this). We get home in the afternoons, she eats dinner and we immediately head outside and we are outside for the majority of the late afternoon/evening.

My weekend started Friday with a phone call from one of the girls that baby sits Lora Kate. She wants a flexible summer job and asked if I'd be interested in having her keep Lora Kate. We haven't worked out all the details yet but I'm so excited and really hoping that this all pans out. I am so excited at the possibility that Lora Kate can get a break from day care and enjoy her summer playing outside, swimming, taking swimming lessons, going to the library for summer reading, playing at the park, coming to have lunch with Mommy 1-2 days/week, etc. I couldn't be more excited and I really hope it will work out for us (esp for Lora Kate).

We had an absolutely beautiful weekend. I can't imagine it having been any better! Friday night Mom and Dad kept Lora Kate for a couple of hours while Jason and I went to dinner. Yes, I'm dating someone (more on that later). We ate at Longhorn's and then went and picked Lora Kate up from Mom and Dad. Saturday morning we got up and ate breakfast and watched some cartoons. Around lunch I went and got Mom, Dad and John lunch and took it to them at the farm. Lora Kate played and we went down to the lake(s) and watched Dad and John fish. Saturday night I had a baby sitter and Jason and I went to the farm for our 1st party this year, of which was also John's 25th birthday. We had a blast. We had a really nice crowd and the weather was great. Sunday we had a Malcom Family Reunion at the farm and the weather was perfect. Lora Kate played in the dirt and even ate some of it. She was happy as a pig in mud. Speaking of pigs, we have 8 new piglets at the farm and so Lora Kate and all the cousins were able to see them (and smell them). It was fun watching all the kids with the pigs. They are so so cute and I swear if they didn't grow up to look and smell so horrid I'd take one home with us.

Jason Daniel . . . I was a freshman in high school and he was a senior. We've known each other for a long time and have run into each other over the years whenever I was home from college. He's always kinda been my 'crush' so to speak. Never thought much about it. Well we've started dating and it's going really great. John worked with Jason during his summers so they've been friends for a long time. Andrea and John both love him and Mom and Dad really like him too. That's quite a change for me with (most) people I date but it's a nice change! He's fun and likes to be social as much as I do. He's never been married and doesn't have any kids but he's great with Lora Kate (which is a MUST in my book for anyone I date). So here I am...smitten as can be...loving life...loving the weather...blessed, blessed, blessed...
