We had quite a long weekend. Lora Kate was not a very happy child over the weekend and really tested my sanity at times. However, I'm ecstatic to report that my child is back to herself, and happier than ever. Monday she could not stop hugging me and giving me kisses. Her new word this week is "Yummy" only she says, "ummy" and it is so cute. So everytime she'd kiss me she'd go "ummy mama, ummy" and it just melted my heart. Yesterday when I picked her up from daycare the teacher said, "She has been SO SO SO happy today and has just laughed all day." I was thrilled! I hope this continues! :-)
We had a very special Valentine's Day. Mike cooked breakfast and then we went to Athens. We went to the bookstore and Old Navy and had a late lunch at Loco's. Mike gave Lora Kate a pretty silver necklace and he gave me this very pretty, unique Tahitian pearl that I absolutely adore. I've never gotten anything like it and it's very pretty. When I first registered back in 2007 at PotteryBarn Kids, I registered for a First Time Anywhere Chair. Well I never got it and was finally able to purchase one for Lora Kate for Valentine's Day. It's so cute and just the right size for her when she watches her Dr. Seuss video that she loves but I find oh so annoying. It gives me 30 minutes to run around and get a few things done though!
